Hot 100 Not a lot of movement this week in the Top 5, Katy Perry’sRoarheld tight for its second week in 1st place, followed by Avicii, Jason Derulo and Lana Del Rey X Cedric Gervais. Vance Joy now occupies the fifth spot in his 13th week in the chart with his slow burning folk tuneRiptide. Avicii’sYou Make Mecontinues to move up the ladder this week up three places to #14. One Republic have held tight in sixth place withCounting Stars,as their second singleSomething I Needhas been bolstered up 4 spots to #16. Applauseby Lady Gaga has made a big jump this week, up 9 places to #17, which equals her last charted effort:You & Ifrom 2011. Miley Cyrus’Wrecking Ballmoved up three spots over the week to #27, following her instructional How To Contract Tetanus video clip of the same name. Though the video clip’s producers stress that Miley was in no danger of contracting tetanus during the clip, the owner of the wrecking ball and sledgehammer has filed a complaint over the return of his tools as they were ‘one day away from retirement’. Moral or not, the monster video nearly broke the Internet and Vevo records alike on Tuesday last week, racking up nearly 20 million views in its first 24 hours.Billboard USpredicts it will top their chart in the coming weeks and we predict similar achievements here. James Blunt has debuted at #54 withBonfire Heart, his first single in two years, whileX-Factorjudge and ex-Party RockerRedfoo has debuted at #75 withLet’s Get Ridiculous. Major movers this week are Rudimental’sRight Hereup 36 spots to #40, and James Newman’sLove Me Againup 26 spots to #32. I imagine it won’t take long for the today network to pick up on the feel good summertime vibes. ARIA Singles Redfoo’sLet’s Get Ridiculoushas debuted at #1 this week. TheX-Factorjudge and ex LMFAO party rocker can add a solo #1 to his belt.Let’s Get Ridiculousis the second single from his forthcoming albumI Look Good Naked.
