For the very first time in Australia, Blender Gallery Proudly Presents the photographic exhibition "MICK ROCK - EXPOSED - The Faces of Rock 'N' Roll".
Celebrated as ‘The Man Who Shot the 70s’, Mick Rock’s legendary images encapsulate the revolutionary spirit of several eras of rock n’ roll.
Mick Rock launched his career in 1972 with his portrait of an unknown David Bowie and from this developed a two year relationship as Bowie’s official photographer. During this time Rock documented the rise and descent of Ziggy Stardust, and shot promotional films, album jackets, posters, artwork, videos and thousands of photographs. Rock also produced and directed the seminal music videos for Bowie to be found on Bowie’s Sound and Vision DVD collection: ‘John, I’m Only Dancing’, ‘Jean Genie’, ‘Space Oddity’, and ‘Life On Mars’.
Exhibition Opening Night: Thursday June 23rd 6 – 8pm
Exhibition Dates: Friday 24th June – Saturday July 30th
