TMN Chart Wrap Up
It’s been a turbulent week for Australian radio, with playlist changes in the post-ratings period. Katy Perry has taken the throne with her latest, Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F), making it four from five singles from Teenage Dream to hit #1. What a warm welcome for EMI to their new digs this week! Bruno Mars’ Marry You continues to climb, hitting #10 from #8 and Pete Murray’s Always A Winner, jumping from #39 to #15 (fastest mover for the second week in a row) are the biggest threats to the top of the chart. It was the bottom half of the chart that saw the most action this week, however. There were eight new additions to the chart this week, with Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass doing the best of the bunch, entering at #61. LMFAO’s new track, Champagne Showers entered at #67 (while Party Rock Anthem sticks at #4, sure to fall while the champagne flows). This week’s Most Added track to radio, Eskimo Joe’s Love Is A Drug started a week earlier than usual, entering at #72; set for a rapid climb in the coming weeks with more additions and spins coming its way. Bad Meets Evil, David Guetta, These Kids Wear Crowns, Calvin Harris and Aloe Blacc round out the rest of the additions to the 100.
