Kanye West performed an impromptu rap atop a table at Facebook's headquarters in California on Tuesday.

With his fifth studio album rumoured to be released on September 14 (a year to the day since his MTV Awards outburst), West is honing in on social networking sites to back him. "I've been writing new stuff for the new album, and I've got a couple of raps I really like," said the 33-year-old before delivering a few verses from Chain Heavy and Mama’s Boyfriend along with some new material.

With lines like "They try to tell me aliens built the pyramids / I swear, life's a bitch on her period," West, dressed in a business suit, had Facebook staff chuckling and filming with their phones.
