Powderfinger has teamed up with Nova and Jetstar in search of an official blogger for the band’s Sunsets Farewell upcoming tour.
The winner of the Follow the Finger competition will score an Almost Famous-like experience (minus the groupies and 'Golden God' moments, we guess), spending two months on the road as part of the band’s entourage and attending all 34 performances (from September 1 to November 13).
They'll be responsible for writing and presenting video dairies, daily blogs, fan photos, Twitter updates, four exclusive interviews with the band, bonus interviews with The Vines and other support acts.
To enter, participants must upload a 90 second video of themselves highlighting the public anticipation of Powderfinger’s Sunsets Farewell Tour as well as a sample of their writing. Judged on each individual’s interpretation, they will also be judged on creativity, research, whether it is informative and demonstrates a point of difference.
A panel of experts including Powderfinger’s band manager Paul Piticco and representatives from Nova and Jetstar will be judging and choosing the ultimate winner. Entries close at midnight on August 23.
