Clockwise: Money For Rope, Places People and The Belligerents
16 September 2010
General Pants Co.’s singles-only label Major Label has announced its next batch of artist releases.
Places, people (myspace.com/placespeople) is American born, Wollongong dwelling Brian Joseph Hugelmeyer. His debut album Hid & Hunted is inspired by a recent departure from his long-time band and is set for release later this year. Major Label are releasing his indie/folk single Brothers.
Also to be released is the garage/soul single Slow Dance from Melbourne six-piece Money For Rope (myspace.com/moneyforrope). The band see The Saints and Radio Birdman as influences and use instruments like keyboards, guitars, sax and have the group’s twins on drums.
Last to be signed for their single These Hands are Brisbane indie/pop group The Belligerents (myspace.com/thebelligerentsmusic). The single is taken from an untitled EP set for release in next month.
