Hilltop Hoods offer $10,000 grant for new talent

Applications for the annual Hilltop Hoods Initiative officially open today, with a $10,000 grant up for grabs for the winner.

In conjunction with APRA, the grant is open to all hip hop artists who have not yet released an album professionally and will go toward the manufacture and release of their debut album.

The winner will also receive legal advice from David Vodika and Media Arts Lawyers who will offer both general and career specific advice.

Applications close on February 22 and be judged by a panel that will include Hau (Koolism member, Triple J presenter), Nish (graffiti artist, community worker), Ran-Dee (Manager of Def Wish Cast, Alchemy Radio Presenter) and Raph (Blank Clothing Owner, artist and author of Behind The Beat).
