Winners... Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP and The Temper Trap

The winners of the world’s biggest dance music awards, the Annual International Dance Music Awards, have been revealed with Aussie acts Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP and The Temper Trap picking up a gong each.
Announced last Thursday night as part of the inaugural Winter Music Conference in Miami, the awards saw Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP’s We No Speak Americano pick up Best Latin/Raggaeton track and The Temper Trap's Sweet Disposition score Best Alternative/Rock Dance track.
Amid the exhaustive list of 56 winners on the night, EMI acts represented strongly with David Guetta scoring Best Producer and Best Commercial Dance Track and Best Music Video for Getting’ Over You.
Fellow EMI act Canadian producer Deadmau5 took home Best Artist (solo), Best American DJ and (oddly) Best Dubstep/DnB/Jungle track for Raise Your Weapon, while Swedish House Mafia were awarded Best Artist (group), Best Breakthrough Act and Best Electro / Tech House track and Best Progressive for One (Your Name).
But the night truly belonged to trance producer/DJ Armin Van Buuren who took home a staggering seven awards including Best Trance Track, Best European DJ, Best Global DJ, Best Radio Mix Show DJ, Best Full Length DJ Mix, Best Podcast and Best Global Record Label for his Armada Records.
