Metallica voted best metal song of all time

In a result that’s guaranteed to ignite arguments around the world, Metallica’s 1986 anthem Master of Puppets has been voted the best metal song of all time.

The poll, conducted by guitar makers Gibson, compiled votes from editors, writers and Gibson.com readers.

Motorhead’s 1980 rocker Ace of Spades came in second. In addition to the top spot, Metallica also nabbed the #8 spot with One, but it was Black Sabbath that scored the most mentions in the Top 10. The band secured three spots (#4, #6 and #7) while Osbourne also scored third place with his solo track Crazy Train.
