Web browser invention wipes out Nickelback

23 November 2011

by Jess Holton

A free service from Aux.tv has launched a plugin called ‘Nickelblock’ to eliminate all mentions of Nickelback from web browsers.

The service will eradicate any form of Nickelback paraphernalia to appear when surfing the web.

The reputation of the band within the music industry and music fans alike has been questionable throughout their 15-year career.

According to NME.com, earlier this month a petition was started by angry NFL fans to prevent the rockers from performing at half time at their Thanksgiving football match.

Nickelback’s seventh studio album Here And Now was released on November 21 and follows their 2008 album, Dark Horse that was streamed for free through iTunes.
