In a hilarious interview with The Sun, Hulk Hogan revealed that before he made it to the big time as a WWE wrestler, he had musical aspirations.
Hogan said: "I used to be a session musician before I was a wrestler. I played bass guitar. I was big pals with Lars Ulrich and he asked me if I wanted to play bass with Metallica in their early days but it didn't work out.”
He goes on further to reveal that he also wanted to join the Rolling Stones at one stage. “Jerry Hall also asked Mick Jagger if I could play bass with the Rolling Stones. Mick never got back to me."
Also mentioned in the interview is Hulk’s love of the Stone Roses, especially when working out, and a desire to beat up Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan, who is currently starring in a UK comedy TV series about washed up wrestlers called Walk Like A Panther.
Word has got back to Hulk that the Kasabian rockers often used his name to check into hotels to outfox fans and groupies and then proceeded to trash the rooms. Other wrestlers names were also used as part of the ruse including ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Ric Flair.
Hogan said: "I heard about these guys. They have made a show about UK wrestling in the '80s, called Walk Like A Panther. I know Rollerball Rocco, he's in it. He's my guy. I'll be his tag partner and sort them out for trashing hotel rooms under my name".
