DR-CONRAD-MURRAY

Bail bid for Michael Jackson’s doctor opposed

The feathers of prosecution attorneys have been ruffled over Conrad Murray’s recent appeal against his involuntary manslaughter conviction.

According to the prosecution, Dr. Murray’s four-year prison sentence should be upheld because he is a hazard to society and completely remorseless toward his part in the pop legend’s death.

Earlier this year, Dr. Murray, who was held criminally negligent in Jackson’s 2009 death after admittedly giving the singer powerful aesthetic Propofol and sleep aiding sedatives (yet denied accountability), requested that he be released on bail or placed under house arrest until his appeal is heard.

But prosecutors David Walgren and Deborah Brazil were not convinced that the accused would refrain from fleeing California if allowed out on bail.

“Based on his failure to accept responsibility for the decisions he made, his complete lack of remorse and lack of insight into the danger of his criminally negligent conduct, he remains a danger to the community," they said.

The Los Angeles court hearing is set for this Friday.
