Kelly Clarkson hits back at UK newspaper

Kelly Clarkson has lashed out at UK tabloid The Mirror, accusing them for misquoting her to sound "obnoxious and arrogant."

The ‘Celebs on Sunday’ issue of the newspaper saw Clarkson on the cover, with the quoted headline "No one on the planet should be as famous as me,” but the singer denies ever saying it.

Biting back on her WhoSay account, Clarkson clarifies the misinterpretation.

"I said in the interview, when asked about fame, that I have no desire to be as famous as Britney or Madonna. I said that kind of fame was too much for any person and that I have experience a portion of what they deal with and that I didn't handle that well and I'm happy where I'm at in my career.”

Hitting back at the claims of an eating disorder, the inaugural American Idol winner also wrote "just to clear up the absolutely wrong so called quotes from me, I have never had anorexia.”

Ending the post with "nice job Mirror,” it could be safe to assume Clarkson won't have another interview with the magazine ever again.
