Upon Sound City's early 2013 expected release, Dave Grohl will lead nine shows in support of the documentary on Triple M, from Monday.
Dave Grohl Presents Sound City will feature music that was recorded at "America's greatest unsung recording studio", from artists such as Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash, Radiohead, Tom Petty, Rage Against The Machine and, of course, Nirvana.
Each show, aired 9pm AEDST on all Triple M stations every Monday, will focus on a specific time in the Californian studio's history from its conception in 1970 to it's closure in 2011.
"I'm so proud of the Sound City film and beyond excited for the world to see what I've been working on for the past year,"said the Foo Fighters frontman in a statement to Radio Today. "Even before that, though, I'm grateful to Triple M, and radio networks around the world, for giving me the opportunity to share all this great music and to let people know what got me excited about Sound City in the first place."
