Empire of the Sun continue their world domination, with their multi-ARIA Award winning album Walking On A Dream landing two nods for International Breakthrough Act and International Album in this year's Brit Awards.
The last Aussie to win a Brit was Kylie back in 2008 for International Female Solo Artist.
Other nominations show that the girls are leading the charge this year, and included It’s Not Me, It’s You from Lily Allen taking three nominations, going up against Florence & The Machine for British Female Solo Artist and MasterCard British Album. Florence and Lily also battle it out for British Single of the Year.
UK newcomer Pixie Lott stormed the UK charts with her debut single Mama Do, which goes up against La Roux, JLS and Cheryl Cole amongst others for British Single of the Year. Pixie is also nominated for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
The show will take place on Tuesday 16 February at London’s Earls Court Arena. 2010 marks the Brit Awards' 30th birthday.
