The annual triple j Hottest 100 has now been released, and Mumford and Sons have taken out the top spot - as many of us had anticipated following reports last week.
The traditional Australia Day countdown also featured entries from newcomers Art vs. Science at #2 with Parlez Vous Francais? and Australian hip hop royalty Hilltop Hoods at #3 with Chase That Feeling.
Rounding out the top five was alt-pop band Phoenix with their single Lisztomania and party staples Bluejuice sneaking into #5 with Broken Leg.
Following the Hottest 100 of All Time list that was released last year without one female entry, this time the gals made the cut - with La Roux, Lisa Mitchell, Lily Allen and Florence and the Machine all staking their claim in the top ten.
