George Ash appointed UMA President

Universal Music’s Managing Director George Ash has been promoted to President of Australiasia effective July 1.
Max Hole, who becomes Chief Operating Officer from July 1, announced Ash’s promotion which will cover operations in both Australia and New Zealand.
George Ash said: “I am lucky to have had the opportunity at Universal to learn not only from my bosses, but also from the great people in our companies in Australia and New Zealand... Our strong focus on A&R activities, artist development, new business and digital development will continue to result in significant growth.”
Max Hole said: “I have no doubt that, with his new, wider responsibilities, he will continue to succeed.”
George Ash has been with the company since 1995, when he launched New Zealand’s arm of the business.
