Ten Australian acts have been given a helping hand to tour abroad, courtesy the Australia Council’s International Pathways program.
They are Empire of the Sun, Cloud Control, Tripod, Jeffery Lang, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, The Middle East, 50 Lions, The Fumes, Midnight Juggernauts and The Little Stevies.
Next month, Empire of the Sun head off for a six date tour of the US, including New York, LA and a headline slot at Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival.
Eddy Current Suppression Ring get to do their second US tour, playing 13 shows behind their third album Rush to Relax.
Blue Mountains-based Cloud Control will tour the UK in July for a five date showcase, and hope to get a UK and European release for their debut album.
Queensland alt-folk band The Middle East will do their first European tour, playing 18 shows through the UK, Germany, France, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Belgium and Holland.
Midnight Juggernauts return to Europe, the UK and the US this month, doing 12 shows to promote their new album The Crystal Axis.
