Allans, Billy Hyde merge

Australian music group Allans Music Group and Billy Hyde Music's parent company Australian Music Group have merged, it was announced today.

The two will pair both retail and online stores including Allans Music and Billy Hyde Music as well as wholesale businesses Musiclink, Musiclink Orchestral Supplies, Intermusic Distribution, Billy Hyde Imports and Billy Hyde Stage Systems.

The merger creates a national network of 30 stores co-branded under the name Allans Music + Billy Hyde, making itself the market leader in Australian music products with labels like Zildjian, Pearl, Korg, Line 6 and Ludwig being represented.

This network will include music showcases in CBD locations in addition to national suburban and regional stores employing an excess of 580 people.
