What a huge week for Australian music this week. Bliss N Eso have landed their first #1 on the ARIA Albums chart while Washington debuts at #3. Birds of Tokyo nab #4, which make it three Aussie acts in the ARIA Albums Top 5.

ARIA ALBUM CHART

Congratulations to TMN cover stars Bliss N Eso! In another victory for Australian hip hop, their album Running On Air has debuted at #1, knocking six-weeks champion Eminem down to #2 and making it the fourth domestic #1 of the year (that’s including Crowded House).

Another TMN cover star Washington makes an impressive debut at #3 with her first album I Believe You Liar and Perth rockers Birds Of Tokyo spend their second week at in the charts at #4.

After a stellar Splendour performance and a string of sold out shows, Florence & The Machine's Lungs jumped from #7 to #5, holding Arcade Fire out of the Top 5 with their third album The Suburbs sliding into #6.

Just sneaking into the Top 10, Avenged Sevenfold has broken onto the chart at #9, their highest ARIA Album chart position to date.

ARIA SINGLES CHART

Eminem ft. Rihanna's Love The Way You Lie reigns at #1 for its fourth week, while Taio Cruz's Dynamite, jumps from #7 up to #2, mirroring his success on the TMN Hot 100 Airplay Chart and pushing Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull's I Like It down to #3.

Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream hit the TMN Hot 100 Airplay Chart at #37 last week and this week, it debuts on the ARIA Singles chart at #4, taking the place of her chart-topping hit California Gurls, which drops to #7. Can Perry hit #1 with her second single from the yet-to-be-released album?

Meanwhile, despite being an impressive #10 in Airplay, Lady Gaga's Dance In The Dark has debuted way back at #43.

TMN HOT 100 AIRPLAY CHART

Uncle Kracker has finally claimed the top spot with Smile. After recently soundtracking ads for Channel Seven’s Packed to the Rafters, it’s another sync success story. The Kracker hasn’t been #1 on the TMN Hot 100 Airplay Chart since 2001, with his smash hit single Follow Me.

He steals the lead from Enrique while Adam Lambert’s If I Had You inches closer, up one spot to #3. Meanwhile, Eminem’s Love The Way You Lie has matched his career best (previously Lose Yourself) hitting #4 in its fifth week on the chart. Will it break his record now that the music video (starring Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan) has finally dropped?

Katy Perry and Lady Gaga continue to storm toward the Top 5 in their second week, with Teenage Dream jumping to #8 (from #37) and Dance in the Dark not far behind at #10 (from #19) respectively.

But it was Taio Cruz's Dynamite that made the most progress this week, jumping 44 positions from #59 to #15. His previous hit Break Your Heart peaked at #3 and Dynamite looks set to crack the Top 5 for a second time.

In terms of Top 40 market share, Universal Music Australia (UMA) has overtaken Sony Music Entertainment (SME) thanks to four Fast Movers inside the Top 40 - Vanessa Amorosi, The Potbelleez, Taio Cruz and Lady Gaga.
