Sia, Dan Sultan and Cloud Control lead the nominations for the fifth annual Jagermeister Independent Music Awards, announced today.
All three will vie for the coveted titles of Best Independent Artist and Best Independent Album, with Sia also in contention for Best Independent Single (for Clap Your Hands), Sultan up for Best Blues & Roots Album and Cloud Control competing for Breakthrough Independent Artist.
As part of a new deal with media sponsor Nova, the awards will also feature a new Most Popular Independent Artist category with listeners voting from a short list at novafm.com.au.

Nova 969 breakfast host Scott 'Dools' Dooley will host the event alongside a string of special guest presenters and the event will once again be filmed by Channel [V].
Sponsored by The City Of Melbourne, the awards will be the marquis event in Melbourne Music, a new 12-day programme designed to celebrate the city’s music scene.
