Katy, Jimmy and Disturbed - who'll take the top spot?
01 September 2010
Jimmy Barnes, Katy Perry and Disturbed. Three big sellers about to hit the ARIA Albums chart and knock off Eminem, but in which order?
Previously, Disturbed have hit #1 with their 2008 album Indestructible while Australian icon Jimmy Barnes has had nine #1 albums in Australia (more than any other Australian artist). Red hot popstar Katy Perry managed a Top 20 for her previous record One Of The Boys, although she should obviously see a much higher peak for her cotton candy scented follow-up, Teenage Dream.
The real question is, which order will they appear in? In our Album Review pages from issue 800 we have it as Jimmy, Katy then Disturbed. Let's see how we do.
This week on the TMN Hot 100 Airplay Chart, we can comfortably expect a high debut from Brian McFadden and Delta Goodrem, now with a week and a half at radio. We can also expect more upward movement for Duck Sauce's Barbara Streisand and Taylor Swift's Mine to hit the Top 10, now the video has dropped.
A week late is better than never! Little Red debuted on the TMN Hot 100 Airplay Chart with Rock It, a week later than previously predicted, at #82. It comes just in time for the September 10 release of their album Midnight Remember.
