Cee-Lo Green has soared up both the TMN Hot 100 Airplay and ARIA Singles charts this week, hitting the Top 20 and Top 10 respectively. What will the next few weeks hold for Cee-Lo Green and F U?
There are a few fresh tracks on the Hot 100 that have really devoured the competition this week. With only two weeks on the chart, Cee-Lo Green’s F U and Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are are looking pretty amazing for Warner, sitting at #17 and #24 respectively. That helping Warner bump their Top 40 market share from 13.05% last week up to 16.83% this week, although they're still hanging in fourth place.
EMI managed to hold onto third spot in Top 40 market share (with 19.39% share), thanks to Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream at #1, Thirty Seconds To Mars up from #8 to #7 and the Australian Airplay topping Plans by Birds Of Tokyo (now at #10 on the Hot 100).
Sony have overtaken Universal once again in Top 40 market share, with Ke$ha’s Take It Off (up to #11 from #19) and Mike Posner’s Cooler Than Me (up #31 from 44) bumping up their stakes on the chart.
Universal holding three tracks in the Top 5, Taio Cruz’ Dynamite, Lady Gaga’s Dance In The Dark and Eminem and Rihanna’s Love The Way You Lie, wasn’t quite enough to hold onto the top position this week.
ARIA's Top 5 has remained static for the most part, with the only change seeing DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love from Usher and Pitbull trade places with Ke$ha's Take It Off, from #6 to #5.
Two big movers this week were Cee-Lo Green's F U and Good Charlotte's Like It's Her Birthday, which both pushed into the Top 10 this week. F U jumped from #26 to #9 while Like It's Her Birthday landed in #7 from #17.
Little Red's Rock It and Lady Antebellum's Need You Now also made some serious progress, moving from #49 to #28 and #40 to #30. It's great to see these two acts making an mark on sales.
The highest entry to the chart this week came from Nelly. Just A Dream, which has been sitting in TMN's Most Added pages for the past few weeks had a chance to make an impact in sales, debuting at #24.
Katy Perry keeps her Teenage Dream alive, remaining at #1 for a second week with 10,968 units sold, while Eminem's Recovery bounced back up to #2 with sales of 6814. Jimmy Barne's Rage And Ruin holds steady at #3 again (6434 units), while Disturbed's Asylum drops to #4 from #2 (with 6039 copies sold).
Debuts this week included Brandon Flower's Flamingo at #5 (5217 units) and Stone Sour's Audio Secrecy came in just below at #6 (with 4457 copies).
Meanwhile Lady Antebellum moved up, mirroring the success the group had this week on the ARIA Singles chart. Need You Now moved from #34 to #12 (2643 units).
Train's Save Me, San Francisco (2285 units) followed suit, moving from #23 to #14 and hitting Gold status, now eight weeks on the chart.
