Angus & Julia accept their Artisan award
28 September 2010
In addition to unveiling this year’s ARIA Award nominations, four ARIA Artisan awards were also announced and presented today at the ceremony held at Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music.
Brother-sister folk duo Angus & Julia Stone took home awards for Best Cover Art and Producer of the Year for their self-produced second album Down The Way. Taking the stage, they sheepishly thanked the musicians who worked with them around the world on the record.
Wayne Connolly won the award for Engineer of the Year for his work on Paul Dempsey’s Fast Friends. Connolly won Producer of the Year in 2007 for Josh Pyke's Memories and Dust record.
Meanwhile, director Kris Moyes scored Best Video for Sia’s Clap Your Hands, which stars puppets shot in her New York apartment. This is his second Best Video award after winning in 2008 for his work on his brother's band The Presets' video for My People.
