Independent label and entertainment company, Shock have announced its cemented business structure today, ten months after the acquisition by parent company Regency Media.
Shock Founder, David Williams will head the new team as CEO and lead Scot Crawford as General Manager of Marketing and Media, Leigh Gruppetta in the most recently created role of General Manager Music, Josh Hibberd as General Manager Home Entertainment, Ian Redwood as Chief Financial Officer, Andrew Fuller as General Manager, Legal & Business Affairs/ Digital Services and Michael Hennessy as National Sales Manager.
Williams said of the restructure: “On a personal level I’m still excited by the opportunity to be actively involved in the ongoing growth of Shock Records and Shock Entertainment. We continue to have an excellent team of people in place to ensure the challenges of the Music and DVD industries are met head on.”
Leigh Gruppetta’s new position comes after his previous tenure as Label Manager. The appointment of his move to General Manager of Music was announced the same day as the resignation of Executive General Manager, Tim Janes.
Gruppetta said of the new role: “I’m excited to be heading up the Music team and look forward to a very bright future for Shock. We have a huge June coming up with new albums from City and Colour, The Prodigy (live CD/DVD), Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Adam Brand, Gomez and Thievery Corporation. The second half of the year is looking super strong.”
Scot Crawford has also commented on the restructure, saying Shock’s balance of systems and creativity is a mix they’re determined to get right.
“The company continues to invest in innovative systems and unique creative strategies to promote both the artists and properties we represent… We look forward to developing synergies with new partners in what will be a heavily segmented future market, while continuing to maintain our strong traditional relationships,” said Crawford.
