Tom Jones
15 February 2010
After nine years, and more than one million happy patrons A Day On The Green celebrates its 200th show later this month.
The 200th show will be shared by Tom Jones (performing at Bimbadgen Estate, Hunter Valley NSW) and Diana Krall (performing at Peter Lehmann Wines, Barossa Valley SA) – with both shows on the same night, Saturday February 27.
For promoters Michael and Anthea Newton of Roundhouse Entertainment, the milestone is a momentous one, since the very first 'Big Day Out for Grown-ups' was launched in January 2001.
The event has seen artists such as Bryan Adams, The Beach Boys, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, Lionel Richie, Simply Red and Rod Stewart; as well as local names like Tina Arena, Jimmy Barnes, John Butler Trio, Tim Finn and Missy Higgins.
