Splendour ticket stampede breaks Internet

There's that IT Crowd joke that if you type 'Google' into Google, the Internet will break. This morning, typing 'Splendour in the Grass' seemed to do even more damage.

With 30,000 tickets on sale this morning at 9am, the Moshtix site went into severe server stress as thousands of punters rushed to secure tickets. Many have reported getting a 'server too busy' error for hours on end, while others luckily enough to get into the online queue then mysteriously dropped out as servers failed to cope. However the lucky ones got through and are currently dancing a little jig of joy.

Event plus camping tickets sold out just after 12pm AEST, with remaining event tickets all snapped up by 2:30pm AEST. We hope you got yours.

The newly expanded three-day festival takes place place at Woodford QLD over July 30th - August 1st and features Pixies, The Strokes, Mumford and Sons, The Temper Trap and so many more on the line-up.
