Sound Summit and Electrofringe programs revealed

Today, co-directors of both Sound Summit and Electrofringe confirmed with TMN some of the key speakers and artists appearing at this year's This Is Not Art Festival.

The UTS Sound Collective will be discussing the current state of student work in the sound and media arts community, while Mike Rosenthal, the operator of New York City's The Tank, is set to share his insight on what it is like to run an art space inches from Times Square.

Showcases on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday will include Jason Forrest (USA), Grouper (USA), Sam Hamilton and the Mystic Disco (NZ), Tantrums, Songs, Nhomea, Potato Master, Scattered Order and many more.

Electrofringe will also be hosting a Blip showcase on the Thursday. Artists include Nullsleep (USA), Bit Shifter (USA) and Henry Homesweet (UK), with many other local acts also on the bill.

The TINA festival is running from Thursday September 30 through until Monday October 4, at a number of venues across the Newcastle CBD. Tickets for showcase nights are available through Moshtix.
