Laneway festival announces venues, dates

Not surprisingly given its success this year, the St Jeromes Laneway revealed today it will return in 2011, announcing venues and dates for the new year.

The line-up will be announced on Tuesday October 12 and promises some “fresh faces and some old favourites, future classics and classic classics.”

This year, the left-leaning indie event expand out of the laneways to bigger, more open venues with Mumford & Sons (pictured), Florence and the Machine and The XX headlining proceedings.

Friday February 4 - Brisbane
Alexandria St Off St Paul’s Terrace, Fortitude Valley

Saturday February 5 - Melbourne
Footscray Community Arts Centre

Sunday February 6 - Sydney
Sydney College Of The Arts (SCA), Rozelle

Friday February 11 - Adelaide
Fowler’s Live, North Terrace

Saturday February 12 - Perth
Cultural Centre, Northbridge

The festival has also launched its own blog.
