In a blow to the Good Vibrations Festival, U.S soul singer Cee Lo Green has cancelled his spot on the bill to perform at the 53rd Grammy Awards Ceremony.
Green is still riding the success of his August released single, Fuck You from his debut solo album The Lady Killer. The single peaked at #5 in October after just over a month in the charts.
Good Vibrations announced the news on their website today and also congratulated Green on his Grammy nomination. The Grammy’s take place on February 13, one day after Good Vibrations is set to kick of at Sydney’s Centennial Park.
In a statement released by Good Vibrations’ management, Jam Music, they have confirmed he won’t be coming to Australia at all in February.
“We can confirm that Cee Lo Green has been invited by the Recording Academy to perform live at the Grammy awards in February.
“Unfortunately this means he will no longer be available to appear at the 2011 Good Vibrations Festival as originally planned. We wish Cee Lo all the best for his performance and his four Grammy nominations.”
