Paul Dempsey, Clare Bowditch and the trio from Seeker Lover Keeper are among the artists to tour the country with the songs of Tim and Neil Finn in November.
Joining them on the They Will Have Their Way tour will be Oh Mercy frontman, Alexander Gow and Lior. Each artist featured on either 2005’s tribute album, She Will Have Her Way or last year’s all-male edition, He Will Have His Way.
Collectively the two albums have sold over 400,000 copies in Australia and New Zealand, received multiple ARIA nominations, and Boy & Bear’s interpretation of Crowded House’s Fall At Your Feet even charted at #5 on last year’s Triple J's Hottest 100 poll.
The lineup will tour their renditions of the Finn brothers' solo tracks and the now iconic Crowded House and Split Enz catalogues through Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney.
Sarah Blasko, who recently teamed up with Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby to from Seeker Lover Keeper said: “Neil and Tim Finn have built careers on the basis of great songs. The enduring nature of these songs and the integrity and longevity of their success is really inspiring.”
They Will Have Their Way is the project of Executive Producer, John O'Donnell who said a live tour is the next phase in celebrating the Finn brothers' music.
"It is important that the concerts have a strong and unique voice that complements and yet stands alone from the albums. It is a testament to the genius of Tim and Neil Finn that such an amazing collection of artists has agreed to be part of this tour,” said O’Donnell.
