One of Australia’s most cherished singer-songwriters, John Butler has announced he will be embarking on an exhaustive solo tour of the country in March and April.
The Tin Shed Tales tour will travel through capital cities and a host of regional areas and features special guests Felicity Groom and Mama Kin.
John Butler will be accompanied by his very own Tin Shed, which houses his collection of artistic treasures, vintage guitars and personal anecdotes that inspire his iconic music and art.
The idea stems from a surprise acoustic concert that Butler decided to host in Perth, where with only 300 seats available and an announcement one day before the show, it sold out in under seven minutes. Here he shared many tales and memories with the audience and performed songs from his impressive repertoire that spans across five albums.
Of the forthcoming tour, Butler said: “I'm really excited about this tour. There is something special about stripping all the bells and whistles off and really feeling the power of less is more."
Concertgoers can also expect to hear some brand new material from the Aussie icon in this series of intimate and unique performances.
