After spending two weeks driving their Caravan of Courage around the UK, the Today Network drive duo Hamish and Andy will premiere a new show there next month.
The pair have inked a deal with the UK’s Absolute Radio Network to present three Caravan of Courage episodes, with each two-hour Sunday show repurposing content from their daily Austereo show.
The Hamish and Andy Show has been syndicated in New Zealand and Dubai since last year. They also exported a two-hour Christmas special and a three-hour Australia Day special to the BBC in the UK.
Hamish and Andy’s Caravan of Courage 4 created an overwhelming response from listeners, with 800,000 video views and their Facebook page reached more than 750,000 fans.
Dave Cameron, Head of the Today Network said: "Austereo has created a very exciting opportunity for Hamish & Andy’s Caravan of Courage 4 radio content, to be re-purposed for a UK audience on Absolute Radio... The U.K. broadcast is the next step towards getting their show known and loved globally, we hope the Brits love it as much as the Aussies"
Absolute Radio’s chief operating officer, Clive Dickens, said: "Hamish & Andy are Oz's answer to Ricky Gervais & Steve Merchant and are arguably the biggest talent currently in Australia."
