The Aston Shuffle (left) and Hack's new host Tom Tilley
01 December 2010
Triple J have unveiled a number of personnel changes for 2011.
The national youth broadcaster’s current affairs program Hack will get a new host in 2011 with Hack's roving reporter Tom Tilley stepping up to replace outgoing anchor Kate O’Toole. After five years at Triple J, she will relocate to Darwin next year for a job at 105.7 ABC Darwin.
Popular dance duo and recent Inthemix50 winners The Aston Shuffle will replace the Funktrust DJs on Friday night’s dance show. Funktrust’s Will Styles and Learned Hand are leaving to concentrate on their DJing/production work.
And last but not least, Home and Hosed host Steph Hughes is finishing up with the Australian-only music show to focus on touring commitments with various Melbourne bands. She leaves co-host Dom Alessio to host the show full-time, but will pop into the station occasionally next year.
Check out TMN's recent chat with Dom Alessio about Triple J's Next Crop project and the station's role in breaking new bands.
