Molloy, Page and more move to Triple M Sydney

06 January 2011

With the first radio ratings survey of 2011 only two weeks away (January 16 to be exact), Triple M Sydney has announced a bevy of new shows and faces across the station.

With cricketer Stuart McGill leaving The Grill Team breakfast show at the end of last year, comedian/TV host Mick Molloy will now join regular hosts Gus Worland and Mark Geyer every day from 8:15am.

The Triple M veteran, who was a part of Triple M’s famous D-Generation show back in the ‘90s and also hosted Tough Love from 2004 to 2006, will be a busy man – he’s appearing on Triple M Melbourne’s Hot Breakfast with Eddie McGuire daily too.

Also joining Sydney’s Grill Team will be new anchor Chris Page, who moves from hosting the nightly Hot30 Countdown on Austereo’s Today network, and Rachel Corbett, who was on Drive last year with Paul Murray and will now join Dan Ginnane in the newsroom.

Austereo veteran Rob Logan will be the Grill Team’s Executive Producer.

In Drive, comedians Nick Maxwell and Decan Fay will present their show The Sweetest Plum Monday to Thursday slot from 4pm to 6pm. Roy & HG, who did the Monday and Friday shows last year, will now downsize to just Fridays.

Maxwell and Fay were discovered on Austereo’s digital comedy channel Barry, as were the station’s new night time hosts, the Peanut Gallery who replace 'Ugly' Phil O'Neil, who was axed last October.
