Video Hits presenter, Faustina ‘Fuzzy’ Agolley has posted a lengthy but amicable farewell post on her Facebook page titled: The Party's Over, Farewell Video Hits: A Thank You to the Viewers and the Industry.
Over 1500 or so words, the host of six-years addresses her friends and fans, pays tribute to her colleagues and confirms speculation the axing of the music television show by Network Ten was a financial decision to cut back costs network-wide.
“This decision was out of all of our hands,” she said. “And it was in the eyes of those who decided the fate of the show, was purely a business decision rather than a content one.”
Agolley gave particular praise to her co-host Dylan Lewis (who is yet to comment) and Video Hits’ Executive Producer, Rachel Moor who offered comment about the axing to TMN on July 6.
Agolley said Moor “gave a drastic and much needed change to the show, her input added more years to the show's lifespan by making it more profitable for the Network.”
Agolley says she has already been approached with job offers but is hoping to branch out into a more “cerebral” position.
“I appreciate the job offers that have already come my way, I have ideas as to where I want to continue to work, hopefully something more cerebral... Where I don’t say 'dude' out of habit every few minutes, an Australian production or overseas, who knows?”
The finale of Video Hits will air August 6 on Network Ten.
