    ::BIOGRAPHY

    People in Provo, Utah knew who four-piece rock band Neon Trees; but up until late 2008, nobody outside the sleepy religious city knew the band, until they snared the opening slot for The Killers North American tour. Their live act saw them quickly snapped up by Mercury Records, who released their debut album Habits in March of last year.

    Animal, the lead single from Habits

    Statewise, the band were an immediate success, with lead single Animal hitting number one on the Billboard Alternative Singles chart, reaching number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and seeing the band appear live on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

    A live iTunes album followed, featuring eight live tracks and serving as a brilliant stop gap; coupled with the group’s Christmas single Wish List, the band certainly had a prolific 2010.

    1983, the second single from Habits

    Now with Habits receiving a February 18 release through Universal, and Animal smashing it on Australian radio in a similar fashion to in America (the track hit #3 on the TMN Hot 100 Airplay Chart and still sits in the Top 10), and second single 1983 recently serviced to radio, it won’t be long before Neon Trees are lighting up the nation.
