No Rain is a ‘90s one-hit-wonder from Blind Melon, a band who showed great promise until their lead singer Shannon Hoon died from a drug overdose. It would appear that Hoon had a serious drug problem considering that even during the filming of this video he was tripping on acid. The video features a very enthusiastic, yet somewhat ungraceful, young girl dressed as a bumblebee who is laughed off stage at a talent show but later finds many other people dressed as bumblebees dancing in a field.... I guess you could only imagine what Mr Hoon was seeing at this point in time. Heather DeLoach, the young actress who played the small bumblebee, was such a hit that Weird Al Yankovic had her return to her role as Bee Girl for his music clip for Bedrock Anthem. I think this video has an important message. If no one likes your tap dancing bumblebee act then stuff ‘em. Keep on dancing little bee, you’ll find love somewhere else.
