Native Tongue gets Prince catalogue

Music publisher Native Tongue has partnered with Prince’s NPG Music Publishing to release his music in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

The catalogue spans his entire career to date and includes hits such as Kiss, Let’s Go Crazy, Cream, Raspberry Beret, U Got The Look, Diamonds and Pearls and Little Red Corvette. It also includes new music from both of his upcoming albums, Art Official Age and Plectrumelectrum, which will be released on September 30.

Prince’s NPG Music Publishing was founded earlier this year. It marks the first time Prince’s publishing catalogue has been independently controlled and administered in over twenty years.

Native Tongue General Manager, Jaime Gough stated, “Prince has been a musical pioneer his entire career and to have his personal publishing company choose Native Tongue during such an exciting period is a real privilege.”

Native Tongue has in 2014 been going on an acquisition spree to celebrate its 10th anniversary. NPG Music Publishing joins its growing international roster that includes music from Lorde, Daft Punk, Foals, Elvis Presley, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Tom Waits, Roy Orbison, Bombay Bicycle Club, Justice, Armin van Buuren and Diplo.
