Amrap Chart Wrap: Tash Sultana and Remi Top Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Tash Sultana and Remi climb to take the top spots.

Tash Sultana has held onto #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart, also taking #2 in the Metro Chart with Jungle. Remi moves up to #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Lose Sleep Feat. Jordan Rakei, having picked up Feature Album and Album of the Week at a range of stations includingFBi Radio Sydney and PBS FM and Triple R in Melbourne. The Melbourne music-maker recently dropped into Triple R’s Breakfasters to perform live-to-air and joined FBi Radio and RTR FM for chats.

The Black Sorrows enter the Amrap Regional Chart at #2 with Fix my Bail having racked up airplay across the country at stations including TYGA FM in TAS, Fleurieu FM, 5 Triple Z and 5GTR FM in SA, Fraser Coast FM, Rainbow FM, Gin Gin’s Own and Radio 4YOU in QLD, 3MDR, 979 FM, Voice FM, Eastern FM and Radio Mansfield in VIC, as well as 2MIA, Northside Radio, Radio Norfolk, Bay FM, STA FM and Vox FM in NSW.

Flyying Colours enter the Amrap Metro Chart at #3 with Long Holiday, having picked up rotation on FBi Radio Sydney, and Triple R and SYN in Melbourne. Hussy Hicks take #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Whole Lotta, nabbing ’pick of the week’ on Tone & Kirri’s Fair Dinkum Aussie As Music Show on Hills Radio in SA. LANKS join the ranks of the Amrap Metro Chart, taking #4 with Holla having picked up spots in Edge Radio Hobart’s New Music List and SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16. The single has picked up additional airplay across the country at stations including JOY 94.9 Melbourne, 5 Triple Z in SA, FBi Radio Sydney, Morannah Community Radio in QLD, Vox FM and Alive 90.5 in NSW, 3NRG and Gippsland FM in VIC, and Twin Cities Radio and Tjuma Pulka FM in WA.

The Wilson Pickers debut at #4 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Pulled Apart by Horses. Leah was a proud participant in Koori Radio Sydney and Gadigal Music’s Young, Black & Deadly – Rising Stars program, working as a mentor and tutor to eight young indigenous artists, providing songwriting guidance, voice coaching and helping them to record a track to be featured on a compilation of the same name. Dianna Corcoran enjoys #5 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Hold on Lover having racked up airplay across the country at stations including Radio Mama in WA, Radio 4NAG, Cairns FM, Coast FM and Fraser Coast FM in QLD, Inner FM, 94.7 The Pulse, Voice FM, 3WBC, UG FM, 3NRG and JOY 94.9 in VIC, Vox FM, Nambucca Valley Radio, 2MIA, 2AIR FM and Highland FM in NSW, as well as WOW FM, 5YYY, 5 Triple Z, Hills Radio, Radio Alex and Coast FM in SA.

Paper House premiere at #6 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Sweet Release, having picked up spots in PBS FM Melbourne’s Top 10 and Edge Radio Hobart’s new music list. Middle Kids join the Amrap Regional Chart after three weeks in the Amrap Metro Chart, taking #7 with Your Love. The Sydney band recently took out FBi Radio Sydney’s Northern Lights competition, scoring themselves a showcase at Iceland Airwaves festival. Listen here to the band’s utter disbelief as they received the news from FBi’s music director Stephen Goodhew. The trio are no strangers to their hometown station, having also appeared on The Bridge with Lachlan Wyllie earlier this year.

NT songstress Caiti Baker takes out #8 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Heavy on my Heart. Archie Roach is still going strong in the Amrap Regional Chart, taking #9 in his sixth charting week with It’s not Too Late.
