Batpiss Rise to Meet Paul Kelly At The Top Of The Community Radio Charts
The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This weekBatpiss move into #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart, with Paul Kelly once again featuring at #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart.

Batpiss have risen to the #1 position in the Amrap Metro Chart with the track ’Paralyzed’. Batpiss joined Breakfasters on Triple R Melbourne, where they briefly chatted about their latest album Rest In Piss, working with Gareth Liddiard as a producer, and the creation of the album artwork. The Melbourne based three piece also performed the track ’Weatherboard Man’, from their new album, live-to-air, with the performance available to watch here. Rest In Piss, which features the charting track ’Paralyzed’, was SYN’s Aussie Album of the Week, FBi Radio’s Album of the Week, Edge Radio’s Recommended Album of the Week, Triple R’s Album of the Week and featured in 4ZZZ’s Top 20.
Paul Kelly is sitting at #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart for the fourth week with his latest single ’Firewood and Candles’. The rollicking country track has earned community radio support from Yass FM in ACT, City Park Radio in TAS, Voice of the Avon, and Tjuma Pulka Media Aboriginal Corporation in WA, Noosa FM, Cairns FM, Fraser Coast Community Radio, and 4BAY in QLD, Coast FM, 5 Triple Z, Radio Adelaide, and Fleurieu FM in SA, 2OCB, Bay & Basin 92.7 FM, 2AirFM, Northside Radio, Valley FM, and Nambucca Valley Radio in NSW, as well as 3WAY FM, 96.5 Inner FM, 99.9 Voice FM, Seymour FM, Radio Mansfield and 94.7 The Pulse in VIC.

Kardajala Kirridarra continues their presence in the Amrap Charts, with ’Ngurra (Rain Song)’charting at #4 in the Amrap Metro Chart and #8 in the Amrap Regional Chart. Beatrice Lewis, one of the four members of the ensemble, stopped by Breaking And Entering on Triple R to chat about the project, the inspiration behind their name, and how the basis of their debut album is to promote and shed light on the significance of women as creators. The Stevens’ second album, Good, featured in PBS FM’s Top Ten and Triple R’s Soundscapes, with the charting single being included in FBi Radio’s New Music List and Edge Radio’s New Music List. ’Chancer’has also received additional spins from Fraser Coast FM in QLD, Three D Radio in SA, OCR FM and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC, HFM and Voice of the Avon in WA, as well as Radio Skid Row, Yass FM, Hawkesbury Radio, SWRFM and Bay FM in NSW.
