Courtney Barnett Joins Briggs At The Top Of The Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week Courtney Barnett debuts at #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart, with Briggs maintaining the #1 position in the Amrap Regional Chart.

Melbourne’s Courtney Barnett enters the Amrap Metro Chart at #1 with her track How To Boil An Egg. The track, which is a reworked version of one of the first songs Courtney Barnett ever wrote, has been added to RTRFM’s Sound Selection. Briggs has held onto #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the track Here featuring Caiti Baker. Four-piece punk-rock outfit Press Club make their debut in the Amrap Metro Chart at #2 with Headwreck. Press Club were chosen as FBi Radio’s Independent Artist Of The Week, with the charting track featuring in FBi Sydney’s New Music List. Appearing at #2 during their fifth week in the Amrap Regional Chart is Cookin’ On 3 Burners (right)with their track Real Life Baby featuring Emmi. Major Leagues enter the Amrap Metro Chart at #3 with Good Love. The garage-pop track, which is characterised by stunning vocal harmonies and crisp lo-fi production, features in FBi Sydney’s New Music List. Underground Lovers appear in the Amrap Regional Chart for the third week, with The Rerun taking out #3 this time. The Melbourne-based band chatted with Neil Rogers at Triple R in Melbourne, prior to their live-to-air set in the Triple R Performance Space. They discussed introducing new songs into their live set, their latest album and they also performed the charting track live, amongst other new tracks off their album. Pond has moved up in the Amrap Regional Chart to #4 with Paint Me Silver. The Owls debut in the Amrap Metro Chart at #5 with the pop-rock track Jesus Let Me Fly. Josh from The Owls joined Sunday Sweets on SYN Radio Melbourne to discuss the charting single, the band’s hiatus, and their single launch in their hometown of Newcastle. Taking out #5 in the Amrap Regional Chart is Dan Sultan with Hold It Together. Gang of Youths appear at #6 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Atlas Drowned. The angst-filled rock track, which is the second single off the Sydney band’s upcoming album, featured on FBi Radio Sydney’s New Music List. Brisbane-based four-piece The Jungle Giants take out #7 in the Amrap Metro Chart with their latest track On Your Way Down, which features in 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20. Cloud Control (left)enter the Amrap Regional Chart at #7 with Rainbow City, with the track also being added to FBi’s New Music List. Screamfeeder appears in the Amrap Metro Chart for the third week, currently taking out #9 with Half Lies. Jade Imagine takes out #9 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the track You & I. Jade McInally, the lead singer of Jade Imagine, chatted to Pete fromThe Ride on Edge Radio Hobart, and discussed the development of their debut EP What The F**k Was I Thinking. The Debut EP was listed in PBS FM Melbourne’s Feature Album and also appeared in SYN’s Sweet 16. You & I earned airplay support from Voice of The Avon and 6HFM in WA, Radio 4YOU, Noosa Community Radio, Fraser Coast FM and Radio 4EB in QLD, 96.5 Inner FM, Southern FM, OCR FM, 3CR and 94.7 The Pulse, Fleurieu FM, 5 Triple Z, Rox FM, Three D Radio and PBA FM in SA, as well as 2MCR, Yass FM, Bay FM, Nambucca Valley Radio, 2BOB Radio and 2RDJ in NSW.

Ben Evolent once again takes out #10 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the track Next Time. Ben Evolent dropped into Drive It Live on Territory FM, where he performed a stripped back version of another track, Larry Kin, off his recently released EP.
