If You Want Blood! National Live Music Awards announce final performers

The National Live Music Awards announced the final additions to its lineup, along with special guests and keynotes.

The awards are held next Thursday (December 7) in eight venues in eight cities in eight states and territories.

Mojo Juju (pictured) is added tot the Melbourne gala, at Grace Darling (ticketed invite only) hosted by triple j’s Dom Alessio.

The night will close with a tribute to The Peep Tempel by Girls Rock! Melbourne featuring Swim Team, Moody Beaches and Bitch Diesel.

Also set to play are finalistsYeo, Charm of Finches and Party Dozen, the new project featuring nominee Kirsty Tickle with Jonathan Boulet.

Guest presenters including Alpine, Gretta Ray and Ainslie Wills, with more to be added.

The event will be live streamed to the world via Facebook Live.

All other events around the country are totally free, via RSVP through Oztix.

Those who don’t RSVP and turn up on the night will have to donate $5 to Support Act on entry. In any case, all patrons are asked to leave a gold coin donation for the same.

In Adelaide, at the Grace Emily Hotel (winners of last year of Best Live Venue in SA and nominees again this year), Häna Brenecki opens the night, ahead of sets from MANE and Donnarumma.

Launceston, which joins the LMAs for the first time via Club 54, has added ISLA KA to the lineup, alongside Seth Henderson and EWAH & The Vision of Paradise.

Another first-time host for the NLMAs, Alice Springs, has brought in Bad Maths to its Epilogue Rooftop lineup.

They will close the night following 2016 Best Live Voice winner Colin Lillie and 2017 nominee Dave Crowe (Resin Moon).

Laurie May will play host for the evening.

KG injects Capital City hip hop to the Canberra event at Smith’s Alternative.

He joins The Ansah Brothers (Citizen Kay and Genesis Owusu), Betty Alto, and 2016 winners and 2017 multi-nominees Glitoris who will DJ through the night.

In Fremantle at Mojo’s, Noah Shilkin presents a keynote while Tired Lion are new presenters.

RAG N’ BONE have had to drop out, but a replacement is to be announced this week, to join Grievous Bodily Calm and POW! Negro.

Live instrumentalist and didg champion nominee William Barton joins the Brisbane bash at Lefty’s, which includes Katie Noonan, Elly Hoyt & the Nightingales and Emma Dean.

Leadbelly in Sydney plays host to ACT based nominee Happy Axe, Tasmanian nominees Ani Lou and Maddy Jane, who just supported Harry Styles in Sydney, and local hero Sarah Belkner.

The Go-Between’s Lindy Morrison will deliver a keynote at the event in support of the NLMA’s chosen charity Support Act.

Rig City, co-host of the Shitshow podcast, will be the MC for the evening.
