The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week Jen Cloher debuts at #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart, with Dan Sultan rising to #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart.

Jen Cloher enters the Amrap Metro Chart at #1 with the track ‘Regional Echo’. Jen Cloher’s self-titled album, which is her fourth LP, was FBi Radio’s Album of the Week, PBS FM’s Album of the Week, Triple R’s Album of the Week and was included in 2ser’s Servin Up, with ‘Regional Echo’ featuring in RTRFM’s Sound Selection and 4ZZZ’s Top 20.

Dan Sultan moves into #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with ‘Kingdom’. Gold Class have held onto #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with their single ‘Rose Blind’ . The Bombay Royale debuts at #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart with ‘I Love You Love You’. The Bombay Royale joined New And Groovy on Triple R Melbourne, where they chatted about their new LP Run Kitty Run. The discussed the futuristic album concepts, exploring new sonic territories with this latest piece of work, and their collaborative writing process. They also performed the track ’Ballygunge’live-to-air, off their album, which is available to listen to here. Bombay Royale’s album Run Kitty Run was 2ser’s Album of the Week, features in PBS FM’s Top 10 and Triple R’s Soundscapes, with the charting track receiving an inclusion in SYN’s Sweet 16. Jed Rowe takes out #6 during his third week in the Amrap Regional Chart with the track ‘Tailem Bend’. The charting track has received airplay from ArtSound in ACT, Radio Mama FM, Voice of the Avon FM in WA, Coast FM, Noosa FM, Gin Gin’s Own, Fraser Coast FM in QLD, Coast FM, Fleurieu FM, 5 Triple Z, WOW FM, ROX FM in SA, 3WAY FM, 3HOT, Radio Mansfield, Seymour FM, UGFM, 98.5 Apple FM in VIC, as well as 2BOB, 2AIRFM, Bay FM, 2MCE, Nambucca Valley Radio, Port Stephens FM in NSW.

Birdz enters the Amrap Metro Chart at #7 with ‘This Side’ featuring Serina Pech. Birdz spoke with The Breakfast Spread on PBS FM Melbourne back in July to chat about his debut album and some of the other projects he is involved with such as the Deadly Hearts Compilation . ‘This Side’ was included in FBi Radio’s New Music List and SYN’s Sweet 16, with the track receiving additional airplay from 2ser and 2SEA in NSW, WOW FM and 5 Triple Z in SA, as well as 96.5 Inner FM and Seymour FM in VIC.

Making his first appearance in the Amrap Metro Chart is Davey Lane, with ‘Taurus All Apart’ taking out #8. Allan Caswell enters the Amrap Regional Chart at #8 with ‘Drunks Like Charlie’. Morning TV have taken out #9 during their second appearance in the Amrap Metro Chart, with the track ‘Let It Lie’. Gretta Ziller enters the Amrap Regional Chart at #9 with ‘Queen of Boomtown’. Forevr are charting at #10 in the Amrap Metro Chart with ‘Columbus’.
