Mere Women and Gretta Ziller Climb To The Top Of The Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week Mere Women ascends to #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart, with Gretta Ziller moving into #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart.

Mere Women have taken out #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart during their third charting week with the track Eternally. Gretta Ziller has moved into #1 in the Amrap Regional Charts with Slaughterhouse Blues. Kirin J. Callinan appears at #2 during his third Amrap Metro charting week with Bravado. Kirin sat down with Chris Berkley from Static on 2SER to discuss the album Bravado. He discusses the grandiose sentiments on the album, which are counteracted by the absurdity of other prevalent elements, how Swedish House Mafia was the sonic benchmark Callinan set for his second LP, and utilising pop devices to explore the concepts of masculinity, self, ego and sentimentality. Melbourne’s Wet Lips debut at #5 in the Amrap Metro Chart with See You Later. Wet Lips, the debut self-titled LP from the 3-piece is PBS FM’s Feature Album, appears in Triple R’s Soundscapes and 4ZZZ’s Top 20, whilst the charting track See You Later also features on Edge Radio’s New Music List. Wet Lips performed the track ’ Can’t Take It Anymore’ off their debut LP, live-to-air for the Test Pattern Transmissions Series, at the Triple R Performance Space. Watch the performance here. Lloyd Spiegel re-enters the Amrap Regional Chart, with Devil On My Shoulder taking out #7. The latest track from the Australian Blues master has earned community radio airplay from Gippsland FM in the ACT, Tjuma Pulka Media Aboriginal Corporation in WA, Fraser Coast Community Radio, Sunshine FM, and Noosa FM in QLD, 5 Triple Z, 88.9 Hills Radio, 5 Triple Z, and Radio Alexandrina in SA, 3MDR, 99.9 Voice FM, Yarra Valley FM, Southern FM, and 3WAY FM in VIC, as well as 2SEA, 2TLC, Port Stephens FM, Bay FM, 2WKT, Nambucca Valley Radio, and Ten FM in NSW.

Brisbane’s Deafcult enter the Amrap Metro Chart at #8 with Summertime. Ziggy Ramo and his band ’The Love’ joined Breakfast With Caitlin on RTRFM to kick off the new segment Slightly Odway, where they performed a reinterpretation of a Tame Impala classic.
